States, Communities and People batten down the hatches and endure the frigid cold. The Susquehanna Valley may not have an extreme cold of the mid-west, but with a Snow squall and windy conditions today, the blowing and drifting has created a dangerous windchill and hazardous travel conditions.

If you live in a mobile home it is recommended you leave the water running, and open your cabinet doors. Single Family Homes are susceptible to pipe freezing as well, with closed crawlspaces, and exterior walls, these extreme temperatures can make a pipe that has never frozen, freeze.
