Thursday, January 31st, 2019 Penn waste issued a statement explaining that trash pick up service for its customers may be delayed
They ask customers to keep their trash curbside as Penn Waste will collect all waste and recycling by Saturday. The delay is caused by the frigid temperatures and Penn Waste’s commitment to the safety of its employees.
Due to the extreme cold weather and its impact on trucks and employees, there will be areas that we are unable to collect on your regularly scheduled collection day. Please leave your waste and recycling curbside as we will collect all material by the end of the day on Saturday 2/2/19. We appreciate your understanding with this frigid weather. The safety of our employees is our top priority.
Penn Waste Statement
Penn Waste did not answer when asked to comment. Some customers were concerned for the safety of workers when Wednesday penn waste did not, according to sources, suspend service.
