Update: 3:00 PM, Friday, October 4th

October 4, 2019
3:00 PM
The Red Lion Area School District can confirm the existence of a law-enforcement investigation involving two employees, both of whom have tendered their resignation and are no longer employed by the District. These matters do not relate to any threat of violence and there is no security concern regarding persons or facilities. As always, the safety and security of our students and staff are our primary concern.
We are cooperating fully with the York Area Regional Police and are continuing to conduct our own parallel investigation of these matters. Since this is an open investigation, the District cannot comment any further.

Many rumors are being perpetuated online, and without official evidence of a crime or misconduct being committed past or present, we will not comment. We can only hope that YARPD finishes their investigation and shines the light of justice on these backroom developments.

October 7th Update:

The York Area Regional Police department responded promptly when asked for updates, “The York Area Regional Police Department Does not comment on pending investigations.” the press release does not provide any further details into the investigation and assures that there are no safety concerns for students or staff.
